Description

Brown Butter Cheesecake is a luxurious twist on the classic dessert, combining the rich, nutty flavor of browned butter with the creamy texture of traditional cheesecake.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (for browning)
  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar (divided)
  • 16 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup sour cream (full-fat)
  • 3 large eggs
  • Fresh berries (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C) and grease a springform pan.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat until golden brown and fragrant. Let cool slightly.
  3. Combine graham cracker crumbs, half of the sugar, and melted butter in a bowl. Press into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  4. Beat cream cheese with remaining sugar until smooth; mix in sour cream and then add eggs one at a time until just combined.
  5. Pour filling over crust and bake for 50-60 minutes or until edges are set but center is slightly jiggly.
  6. Cool gradually in the oven before refrigerating for at least 4 hours before serving.
