- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (115g), softened (for filling)
- 1/4 cup heavy cream (60ml) (for filling)
- Flavoring extracts (e.g., vanilla or peppermint)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C) and prepare baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a clean bowl, whip egg whites until foamy. Gradually add granulated sugar, whisking until stiff peaks form.
- Sift almond flour and powdered sugar into another bowl. Gently fold into the meringue until fully combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a piping bag; pipe small circles on prepared sheets. Tap sheets to release air bubbles.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until firm yet soft inside. Let cool completely before removing from parchment.
- For the filling, mix softened butter and heavy cream until smooth; flavor as desired. Pipe onto half of the shells and top with remaining halves.
