Scale
For the filling:
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
For the dough:
- 1 can (8 pieces) refrigerated biscuit dough
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional)
Optional toppings:
- Sesame seeds for garnish
- Additional grated Parmesan for sprinkling
Instructions
- Prepare the Filling:
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it into small pieces.
- Add the finely chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the onion becomes soft and fragrant.
- Season with salt and pepper, then remove the skillet from heat. Let the filling cool slightly before mixing in the shredded cheddar cheese.
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Assemble the Cheeseburger Bombs:
- Flatten each piece of refrigerated biscuit dough into a small circle.
- Place a spoonful of the beef and cheese mixture in the center of each dough piece.
- Fold the edges of the dough around the filling, pinching them together to seal completely. Roll each filled dough ball gently in your hands to ensure a smooth, even shape.
- Add the Topping:
- Place the dough balls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush each ball with melted butter and sprinkle generously with grated Parmesan cheese. Add chopped parsley for a burst of color, if desired.
- Bake:
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the bombs are golden brown and puffed up.
- Remove from the oven and allow them to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
- Serve:
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces, such as marinara, ranch, or garlic aioli.
