Ingredients

Scale

For the filling:

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

For the dough:

  • 1 can (8 pieces) refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional)

Optional toppings:

  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Additional grated Parmesan for sprinkling

Instructions

  • Prepare the Filling:
    • Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it into small pieces.
    • Add the finely chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the onion becomes soft and fragrant.
    • Season with salt and pepper, then remove the skillet from heat. Let the filling cool slightly before mixing in the shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Assemble the Cheeseburger Bombs:
    • Flatten each piece of refrigerated biscuit dough into a small circle.
    • Place a spoonful of the beef and cheese mixture in the center of each dough piece.
    • Fold the edges of the dough around the filling, pinching them together to seal completely. Roll each filled dough ball gently in your hands to ensure a smooth, even shape.
  • Add the Topping:
    • Place the dough balls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
    • Brush each ball with melted butter and sprinkle generously with grated Parmesan cheese. Add chopped parsley for a burst of color, if desired.
  • Bake:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the bombs are golden brown and puffed up.
    • Remove from the oven and allow them to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Serve:
    • Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces, such as marinara, ranch, or garlic aioli.
