Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1 pound ground beef (or any meat of choice)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Filling:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 8 slices of bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or cheese of choice)
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For Garnish (optional):

  • Sliced pickles
  • Sliced tomatoes
  • Chopped green onions

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking the pie.
  • Prepare the Crust:
    • In a mixing bowl, combine 1 pound of ground beef, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of onion powder, and salt and pepper to taste.
    • Mix well until the ingredients are fully combined.
    • Press the meat mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a greased pie dish to form a crust.
    • Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes or until it starts to brown slightly. Remove from the oven and set aside.
  • Cook the Filling:
    • In a skillet over medium heat, cook 1 pound of ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks. Drain any excess fat if needed.
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked ground beef, 8 slices of cooked and chopped bacon, 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, 2 large eggs, ½ cup of heavy cream, 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce, and salt and pepper to taste.
    • Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated, creating a thick filling.
  • Assemble the Pie:
    • Once the crust has baked, pour the filling mixture into the crust, spreading it evenly.
  • Bake the Pie:
    • Return the pie to the oven and bake for an additional 25-30 minutes, or until the filling is set and the top is golden brown. A toothpick inserted into the center should come out clean.
  • Cool and Serve:
    • Allow the pie to cool for a few minutes before slicing.
    • Serve warm, garnished with optional toppings such as sliced pickles, sliced tomatoes, or chopped green onions if desired.
